55. Reflections- Setting
This new feature enables you to track the childrens progress at termly intervals over the academic year, and show ofsted overview statistics of the progress made by children in your setting, as well as the number of children who are attaining above, below or on target for their age range.
In doing this, you are able to show at what developmental stage the children are at when they are starting with you, and the stage that they are at when they leave you (showing the full progression that they have made in your setting). Each time you do this, you put in the drop down age range in the first box (and the consecutive age ranges automatically populate). You are then able to click on button 1- which will show you the information (automatically taken from your multi entry tracking) to tell you which box to put the tick- below, at or above. So there is very little work for you to do in this feature- yet it produces some fantastic statistics to show Ofsted. You are able to show Ofsted an overview of where the children are at using the statistics in button 3, which shows all academic years that you are inputting. In this, no personal information of the children are shown, it is purely to evidence the stage of development the children are at, in your care. As well as evidence that there is progress being made. You can also use this feature for your own use, to notice if a child is continuously achieving below their expected age range, and if so, put measures in place and more specific and detailed observations to find out why. |
