23. Activity Assessment/ reflection
This is the form for you to reflect on the activities that you are doing with the children.
Recent Ofsted inspections have shown that they like to observe the children participating in an activity in your setting, they will then ask you questions about how you felt the activity when, if there are any changes that you would make, and why. This form enables you to do this on a regular occurrence, showing that you are consistently reflecting how you deliver your activities and that you are able to evaluate the effectiveness of the activity as a whole- whether you feel the children were engaged and how you could encourage further progression by making changes to the activity if you were to offer it in the future, or how you could make amendments depending on who you have in your setting. The form encompasses drop down boxes to show all of the children in your setting, which you can select as being involved with the activity. This means that it is quick and easy to complete, as well as being a tool to see that you are reflecting on enough activities to show effectiveness for all of the children in your setting. The outcome of these completed forms could be included in your SEF. |
